LN Thin Film on Insulator

Single-crystal LN thin film can be integrated on Lithium Niobate substrate. This structure can be used in Electro-optic modulators, optical wave-guides, resonators, SAW devices, FRAM memory devices, etc..

LNOI with Metal Electrode (I)

There is a metal electrode layer (Au, Pt, Al, or other metals) between the SiO2 layer and the LN thin film. An electric field can be applied on the LN thin film between this metal electrode layer and a top electrode layer. Based on piezo-electric effects, ferroelectric domain switching effect, thermal-electric effect, this film has applications on surface acoustic wave devices, memory devices, and sensors, such as high-frequency, high-bandwidth RF filter, low-power, high-speed ferroelectric memory, and high-sensitivity IR detector.

LNOI with Metal Electrode (II)

There is a metal electrode layer (Au, Pt, Al, or other metals) between the SiO2 layer and the LN substrate. An electric field can be applied on the LN thin film between this metal electrode layer and a top electrode layer. SiO2 can act as optical insulation layer. This structure is used to produce high-speed modulators or high-efficiency E-O tunable nonlinear optical devices or ferroelectric memories.

MgO-doped LNOI

The MgO-doped LN thin film is peeled off from an MgO-doped wafer. This MgO-doped LN thin film has excellent resistance to optical damage or photorefractive damage. It has particular advantages for nonlinear optical devices, such as electro-optical modulation (EOM Q-switches), frequency doublers, frequency mixers, optical parametric oscillators (OPO) and amplifiers (OPA), and integrated waveguides.

Ultra Flat Wafer Ultra Thin Wafer

NANOLN is qualified to improve wafer thickness uniformity (TTV) by Wafer Thinning Service and Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) Service, which can transfer wafer ,such as LN wafer, LT wafer, Silicon wafer and Quartz wafer, into ultra flat wafer or ultra thin wafer. We can manufacture ultra flat silicon wafer ,ultra flat quartz wafer ,ultra thin LN wafer, ultra thin LT wafer to meet the different demands of customers.

Lithium Tantalate on Insulator

Its structure is similar to that of LNOI but it has LT thin film and LT substrate. It applications include: electro-optical modulators, pyroelectric detectors, optical waveguides, SAW devices and piezoelectric transducers. LT crystal has large thermal-electric coefficient, suitable for high-sensitivity pyroelectric detectors. The application of such detector includes: night vision, motion detection, NDIR (Non Dispersive IR) gas analysis, flame detection with spectroscopy and radiometry. The detailed applications consist of air quality monitor, Earth position sensor, IR detection, IR spectrometer, interplanetary probe, pollution detection, remote sensing, solar cell studies, human sensors, forest fire detection, terahertz detection, biomedical imaging, satellite-based IR detection at 90 K, optical wave guide studies, x-ray detector, and facial recognition.

LN Thin Film on Silicon

Single-crystal LN thin film can be integrated on silicon substrate. This structure can be used in integrated optics, nonlinear optics, ferroelectric memory, IR detectors, sensors, MEMS, and SAW devices.
